Guaranteed Dinner Rolls

  1. Soften yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar.
  2. Stir in salt and 1/3 cup sugar; mix well.
  3. Stir in yeast mixture; add well beaten egg to mixture.
  4. Mix; add 3 cups of flour, stirring mixture until it is smooth elastic.
  5. Add corn oil; mix.
  6. Add remaining 3 cups flour; mix well.
  7. Cover with wax paper; let rise until dough has doubled.
  8. Knead dough in remaining flour; roll dough to 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick.
  9. Cut to desired shapes; place in greased pan. Cover; let rise until double in size.
  10. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in preheated oven at 400u0b0.
  11. Rub butter on top when rolls are light brown.
  12. Makes about 3 dozen.
