Lasagne
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 links sweet Italian sausage
- 2 links hot Italian sausage
- 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can peeled Italian tomatoes, broken up
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 (16 oz.) container Ricotta or creamed cottage cheese
- 2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1/4 tsp. dried sweet basil leaves
- dash of salt and pepper
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 15 cooked lasagne noodles
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. grated Mozzarella cheese
- Brown meats until done and drain; set aside.
- Simmer tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic and then add meat.
- Mix together the Ricotta, parsley, eggs, spices, dash of salt and pepper and Parmesan in a bowl.
- In lasagne pan, place in alternating layers the noodles, cheese mixture, Mozzarella and meat sauce.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or until hot.
- Serves 12. Excellent.
