Fudge Ribbon Cake

  1. Cream 2 tablespoons butter with the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch.
  2. Add 1 egg, 2 tablespoons milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; beat until smooth.
  3. Grease and flour bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Place in bowl the flour, 2 cups sugar, salt, baking powder, soda, 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup milk.
  5. Blend, then beat for 1 1/2 minutes at a low speed.
  6. Add 1/3 cup milk, 2 eggs, Choco-bake and 1 teaspoon vanilla; beat 1 1/2 minutes.
  7. Spread half of batter in pan.
  8. Spoon cheese mixture over batter; spread to cover.
  9. Top with remaining batter.
  10. Bake at 350u0b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
  11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or chocolate frosting.
