Fudgy Bonbons

• 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1/4 c. butter or margarine
• 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
• 2 c. flour
• 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 60 milk chocolate candy kisses or white/chocolate striped candy kisses, unwrapped
• 2 oz. white baking bar or vanilla flavored candy coating
• 1 tsp. shortening or oil
• 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. water
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 1/2 c. sugar
• 1 c. water
• 1 c. light corn syrup
• 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
• 1 lb. shelled unroasted peanuts

1. Butter 2 baking sheets, each 15 1/2 x 12-inch; keep warm. Combine baking soda, 1 teaspoon water and the vanilla; set aside.
