Chow Mein

  1. Cook rice according to directions.
  2. Brown pork well; add soy sauce, water, bouillon cubes, sugar, molasses and mushroom juice. Simmer 20 minutes or until pork is done.
  3. Add celery, onion, bean sprouts, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots.
  4. Cook until vegetables just tender.
  5. Add mushrooms.
  6. Thicken with cornstarch.
  7. Serve over rice and noodles.
  8. Garnish with slivered almonds.
