Yankee-Doodle Sirloin Roast
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup teriyaki or soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1 beef sirloin tip roast (4 pounds)
- In a shallow dish, combine the first eight ingredients; add roast and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Drain and discard marinade. Place roast on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 for 1-1/2 to 2-1/4 hours or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135u0b0; medium, 140u0b0; medium-well, 145u0b0). Let stand for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
