Beer Bread(Raisin-Cinnamon)
- 2 c. unsifted self-rising flour
- 1 c. unsifted whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 (12 oz.) can warm beer
- 1 Tbsp. honey or 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. raisins
- Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- Preheat the oven to moderate (350u0b0).
- Combine the self-rising flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in a large bowl; stir together until well mixed.
- Add the beer, the honey or the sugar and the raisins; mix until well blended.
- Spread the batter in the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated moderate oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until nicely browned and a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
