Meat Crust Pie

  1. Combine beef, bread crumbs, onions, green pepper, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, seasonings, and 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce.
  2. Mix well and pat into bottom and sides of greased 9-inch pie plate. Combine remaining 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, water, rice and 1/2 cup of the cheese.
  3. Spoon mixture into meat shell.
  4. Cover and bake in 350u0b0 oven for 25 minutes.
  5. Top with tomato slices and remaining cheese.
  6. Bake, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes longer.
  7. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
