Glazed Meatballs And Apples
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 apples, cored and chunked
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- Combine egg with milk; stir in bread crumbs and salt.
- Add ground beef and mix well.
- Shape into 1-inch balls; place in shallow pan.
- Bake at 450u0b0 for 15 minutes.
- Mix water, ketchup and brown sugar in saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add apples.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Stir together soy sauce, cornstarch and mustard.
- Stir into apple mixture and cook 2 minutes.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer meatballs to saucepan. Heat through and serve warm.
