Apple Nut Cake

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; add to creamed mixture (batter will be very thick). Stir in the apples, nuts.
  2. Spread into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350u0b0 for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few crumbs. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
