Caramel Popcorn

  1. Pop popcorn in air popper.
  2. Yields 5 to 6 quarts popped corn. Place
  3. in large bowl.
  4. Combine butter, sugar, syrup and salt in heavy saucepan.
  5. Heat and stir over medium heat until boiling. Then
  6. boil
  7. without
  8. stirring for 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat. Stir
  10. in
  11. vanilla and soda.
  12. Pour over popcorn and toss well until
  13. all
  14. pieces
  15. are
  16. coated.
  17. Spread on 2 large ungreased shallow
  18. pans.
  19. Bake
  20. in 250u0b0 oven for 1 hour, stirring every
  21. 15 minutes.
  22. Cool
  23. completely.
  24. Break
  25. apart
  26. and store in airtight containers.
