Spicy Meat Balls

  1. About 2 hours before serving:
  2. In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in 1 tablespoon olive or salad oil, cook half of chopped onions, stirring occasionally, until tender and golden. Set aside.
  3. Remove sausage from casings.
  4. In medium bowl, mix sausage meat, ground beef, cooked onions, bread crumbs, eggs, parsley, salt and pepper just until blended.
  5. With hands, shape mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls.
  6. Brown meatballs until golden.
  7. In large saucepan over medium to high heat, add remaining ingredients.
  8. Bring to a boil.
  9. Cook for 10 minutes, then add meat balls.
  10. Cook for about 1 hour until sauce thickens.
