Chocolate Tiramisu
- 1 c. ladyfinger crumbs
- 1/3 c. plus 2 tbsp. Kahlua liquor
- finely chopped nuts, optional
- 8 oz. Mascarpone cheese
- 2/3 c. heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 c. cocoa powder
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. strong Espresso - completely cooled
- fresh strawberries for garnish
- In mixing bowl, crumble ladyfingers and add Kahlua and nuts. Mix well.
- In separate mixing bowl add Mascarpone and cream and begin to beat.
- Add powdered sugar, cocoa, Espresso, and a bit more Kahlua. Beat until stiff peaks are formed.
- In individual dessert bowls or champagne flutes, add a layer of crumbs.
- Next using a pastry bag fit with a decorative tip, pipe the mixture onto the crumbs and make two repeated layers.
- Top with fresh strawberries to garnish.
- Serves 6 - 8.
