Wolfpack Tailgate Barbecue Sandwiches
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 4 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 thick slices lemon
- 1 medium sliced onion
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 4 c. (2-inch strips) cooked beef (leftover roast, such as chuck, sirloin tip, etc.)
- 1 c. prepared chili sauce (tomato)
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- kaiser or hamburger rolls
- Early in the day, combine vinegar, water, sugar, mustard, pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, lemon, onion and margarine in a Dutch oven.
- Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
- Remove lemon slices.
- Add meat, chili sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Refrigerate.
