Taco Soup
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 medium onion, chopped or 1/2 c. dry onion
- 3 (10 oz.) cans chopped tomatoes
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth or 29 oz. water
- grated cheese
- sour cream
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can pinto beans
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can butter beans
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can garbanzo beans
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- 1 pkg. powdered Ranch dressing
- 3 small cans hot peppers or chili peppers (optional)
- Brown hamburger.
- Put all ingredients except cheese and sour cream into a 2-quart saucepan.
- Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
- When serving, sprinkle cheese on top and add 1 tablespoon sour cream. The amount of hot peppers you use would depend on how hot you want the soup to be.
- Use tortilla chips instead of crackers to complement this soup.
