Vanilla Pie Dessert
- 3/4 c. butter
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. chopped pecans
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 c. cold milk
- 12 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
- Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle flour over butter evenly.
- Sprinkle with pecans.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool.
- Beat cream cheese, confectioners sugar and water in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
- Spread over prepared pastry.
- Combine pudding mix and milk in mixer bowl; beat until thickened.
- Spoon over cream cheese layer.
- Top with whipped topping.
- Garnish with coconut and maraschino cherries.
- Chill in refrigerator until serving time.
- Yield:
- 16 servings.
