Church Supper Casserole
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. tomato sauce (two 8 oz. cans)
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. small curd cottage cheese
- 1 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. chopped ripe olives
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Cook noodles in salt water; drain.
- In a large skillet, melt butter and brown meat.
- Add 1 teaspoon salt.
- Stir in tomato sauce, flour and Worcestershire sauce.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
- Mix together the cottage cheese, sour cream, salt, onion, green pepper and olives.
- Put 1/2 noodles in casserole.
- Spread on cottage cheese mixture.
- Top with remaining noodles; cover with remaining ground beef mixture.
- Bake for 50 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
- Serves 10.
