Chicken Pilau

  1. Cook onions in 3 tablespoons butter until golden.
  2. Add garlic, hot peppers, bay leaf, turmeric, coriander, cardamon, cloves and cinnamon sticks; cook briefly.
  3. Add chicken and rice; cook and stir about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the chicken broth, peas, lemon juice and salt.
  5. Bring to boil; cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Do not overcook.
  7. Remove from heat; let stand 10 minutes.
  8. Place on large platter.
  9. Garnish with slices of hard-cooked eggs.
