Creole Jambalaya(Microwave)
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. green onions, chopped
- 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 c. water
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of garlic powder
- 1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
- pepper to taste
- 1 c. long grain rice
- 1 c. desired meat or seafood
- In 3-quart dish, put oil and yellow onion.
- Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
- Add green onions and green pepper.
- Microwave on High for 3 minutes.
- Add water, chicken cubes, parsley, salt, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Kitchen Bouquet and pepper.
- Microwave on High for about 3 or 4 minutes or until water starts to boil.
- Add rice and meat or seafood.
- Stir and cover with lid or plastic wrap (preferably with lid) and microwave on 50% Power for 12 minutes more, covered.
- Let stand about 8 to 10 minutes.
