Coney Sauce
- 5 lb. hamburger, fried
- 1/2 gal. catsup
- 3/4 c. chili powder
- 3/4 c. mustard
- 1/8 c. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- salt and pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 chopped onion
- parsley
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage or hamburger
- 6 hamburger buns
- 6 slices process cheese
- Combine tomato sauce, onion, parsley, salt, pepper and paprika.
- Cook until thick, about 10 minutes.
- Brown sausage; break into small pieces with a fork.
- Spoon a tablespoonful of warm tomato sauce into each bun, then a spoonful of meat.
- Top with a slice of cheese.
- Brown open buns in hot oven (400u0b0) for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Makes 6 servings.
