Bob L'S Favorite Sweet N' Sour Turkey
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Green Giant harvest fresh frozen cut green beans
- 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 2 (8 oz.) cans chunk pineapple (in its own juice), drained reserving 1/3 c. liquid
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. cubed, cooked turkey or chicken
- 1 c. cherry tomato halves
- 2 c. hot cooked rice
- Cook green beans as directed on package. Drain.
- In medium saucepan, combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in vinegar, reserved pineapple liquid and margarine. Cook until sauce boils and thickens, stirring constantly.
- Stir in pineapple chunks, turkey, tomato halves and green beans.
- Continue to cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot cooked rice. Garnish with sesame seed, if desired.
- Makes 4 servings.
