Daddy'S Hamburger Supreme
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 small potato, grated
- 1 small carrot, grated
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 can golden mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 soup can water
- salt, pepper and garlic to taste
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1 jar diced pimentos
- Mix together ground beef, potato, carrot, onion, spices and egg. Shape into patties; brown on both sides in Crisco in a heavy skillet.
- Remove patties onto a plate with paper towel to absorb grease. Add soup, water and pimentos to skillet, mix well and bring soup mixture to a slow boil.
- Return patties to skillet, top with green pepper slices and spoon soup mix over top. Cook 45 minutes over a simmering heat on top of stove.
- If desired, serve with mashed potatoes using gravy over the potatoes.
