Sherried Fruit(Very Beautiful)
- 1 (8 oz.) jar special apple rings, drained
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can sliced pineapple, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) can peach halves, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) can pear halves, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) can apricot halves, drained
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 to 1 c. sherry
- Cut apple rings and pineapple slices in half.
- Arrange fruit in layers in 2-quart casserole; set aside.
- Melt butter in heavy saucepan over low heat.
- Add flour and sugar, stirring until smooth, 1 minute.
- Gradually add sherry.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.
- Pour over fruit; cover and chill 8 hours.
- Let come to room temperature.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
