Spaghetti Italiano
- 7 oz. pkg. Creamettes spaghetti
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 can whole tomatoes, cut up
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (6 oz.) can water
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- Parmesan cheese
- Brown meat, onion and green pepper until tender.
- Drain excess fat.
- Add all ingredients, except spaghetti, butter and cheese. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour.
- Remove bay leaf.
- Prepare Creamettes spaghetti according to package instructions.
- Drain. Toss with butter.
- Serve sauce over spaghetti with Parmesan cheese.
- Serves 4.
