- 3/4 cup dry red wine or additional beef broth
- 1 small red onion, quartered and thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- Dash hot pepper sauce
- Sprinkle pepper and salt over steaks and press into both sides. In a nonstick skillet, brown steaks on both sides over medium-high heat. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, combine the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover and cook for 2 minutes. Uncover; cook 5-6 minutes longer or until meat is cooked to desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135u0b0; medium, 140u0b0; medium-well, 145u0b0).
