Oatmeal Caramelitas
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. oatmeal (quick cooking)
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. melted butter
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- In a large bowl combine 1 cup flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, soda, salt and melted butter.
- Blend well to form crumbs.
- Press 1/2 of crumbs into bottom of 11 x 7-inch pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
- Blend caramel topping and 3 tablespoons flour.
- Pour over chocolate and pecans to cover.
- Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Chill 1 to 2 hours.
- Cut into bars.
