Layered Mixed Vegetable Salad

  1. In a large clear bowl, layer lettuce and onions.
  2. Spoon 1/2 cup Ranch dressing evenly over top.
  3. Layer celery, green pepper and peas.
  4. Spread remaining salad dressing over top.
  5. Sprinkle sugar, cheese and bacon on top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
  7. Add water chestnuts.
  8. Toss before serving.
  9. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
