Ham With Cider Glaze

  1. Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. Score ham with diagonal cuts in a diamond pattern.
  3. Place ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Insert a meat thermometer; bake ham until thermometer registers 140u0b0 (about 2 hours).
  4. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan combine cider, honey, vinegar, mustard, and chili powder.
  5. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
  6. Boil gently, uncovered, about 15 minutes, stirring frequently (watch carefully, as mixture will bubble up). You should have about 2 cups of mixture.
  7. Remove half of the mixture to a small bowl. Stir in butter and 1/4 teaspoon of the pie spice; set aside for sauce.
