German Style Turkey Balls
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 lb. ground raw turkey
- 1/2 lb. pork sausage
- 1 slice bread, (crumbs)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 5 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sour cream
- cooked noodles
- Mix meats, bread, eggs, onion, 2 tablespoons parsley, lemon juice and seasonings; shape into 2-inch balls.
- Bring chicken broth to a boil.
- Drop balls into broth.
- Simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes.
- Remove balls from broth.
- Take water and blend in flour.
- Blend into broth, stirring until thickened.
- Add remaining parsley.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reheat meat balls in gravy, then stir in sour cream.
- Serve over noodles.
- Serves 6.
