Good For The Heart Brownies
- 3 Tbsp. low-fat margarine
- 1 c. egg substitute
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. applesauce (1/2 c. for sweeter, moister brownies)
- 3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- powdered sugar (to garnish)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Line cookie sheet with foil.
- Spray with Pam and wipe with a paper towel.
- Cream margarine and sugar.
- Add vanilla; mix well.
- Add egg substitute; beat well.
- Combine remaining ingredients except powdered sugar and add to creamed mixture.
- Beat well.
- Spread in pan.
- Bake 10 minutes or until center is slightly firm when touched.
- Cut in squares when partly cool.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
- Makes 48 brownies, 45 calories and less than 1 gram fat each.
