Pop-Up Pizza Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 garlic clove, minced or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground oregano
- 1/2 c. water
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- dash of salt
- 1/8 tsp. Tabasco hot sauce
- 1 (1.5 oz.) pkg. McCormick spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Heat oven to 400u0b0.
- Brown ground beef; drain.
- Stir in onion, garlic, oregano, salt, water, hot pepper sauce, tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce mix.
- Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. In bowl combine milk, oil and eggs; beat 1 minute at medium speed. Lightly spoon flour in measuring cups.
- Add flour and salt; beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
- Pour hot meat mixture into ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Top with Mozzarella cheese.
- Pour batter over cheese, covering filling completely.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until puffed and deep golden brown.
- Serve immediately.
- Makes 10 servings.
