Sly Deviled Eggs

  1. Butter a 9-inch casserole dish.
  2. Cut the eggs in half and remove the yolks.
  3. Mix them with melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ham and scallions.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Stuff the mixture into the egg whites.
  6. Arrange the egg halves in the prepared dish.
  7. Melt the remaining butter in a saucepan.
  8. Stir in the flour to form a paste and cook for one to two minutes.
  9. Blend in the milk and season to taste.
  10. Heat until thickened.
  11. Pour the sauce over the eggs and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  12. Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  13. Serve over toasted English muffins.
  14. Serves 6.
