Salsa
- 10 large ripe tomatoes or 2 large cans of tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 1 bell pepper, chopped fine
- 1 chili pepper, 5 or 6 in. long, chopped fine
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper (more or less depending on how hot you want it), chopped fine
- 1 can of rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies
- 1 1/2 tsp Vegie seasoning or Mrs. Dash's seasoning
- 1/8 tsp of red pepper
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/8 cup of fresh cilantro or 1/2 tsp dry cilantro
- Chop the tomatoes fine and add all the chopped onion, peppers, diced tomatoes and chilies and seasoning.
- Cook over slow burner 30 to 45 minutes.
- Cool and eat with chips.
- It also makes great taco sauce.
- You can add more hot peppers.
- I let people add their own if they want it hotter.
