Creamy Fettuccine
- 6 oz. fettuccine, uncooked
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. half and half
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. freshly ground Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. poppy seed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. ground raw turkey or ground turkey sausage *
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed
- 1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 pkg. (10) refrigerated biscuits
- 1 egg
- 1 c. cream style cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- chopped tomato (optional)
- snipped chives (optional)
- In a large skillet, cook turkey or turkey sausage and onion until meat is browned, stirring to break up meat.
- Drain off any fat.
- Stir in cream cheese until combined; add mushrooms.
- Set aside.
