Apple Almond Stuffing

  1. Cut bread into 1/2-in. cubes and place in a single layer on ungreased
  2. . Bake at 225u0b0 for 30-40 minutes or until partially dried, tossing occasionally.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the onions, apple, ham, celery and seasonings in butter for 15 minutes or until onions and apples are tender. Transfer to a large bowl. Add the bread cubes, almonds, currants, broth and juice; toss well.
  4. Place in a greased 3-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour. Uncover; bake 10 minutes longer or until heated through and lightly browned.
