Fiesta Chili
- 1 lb. hamburger or ground turkey
- 1 onion
- 1 (1 1/4 oz.) packet chili seasoning
- 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (27 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 (6 oz.) can pitted black olives, drained
- sour cream
- chopped green onion
- Brown meat and onion.
- In a 3-quart pot, place chili seasoning, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans and garlic salt. Add meat; bring mixture to boiling.
- Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Stir in olives and heat a few minutes longer.
- Serve topped with a dollop of sour cream and chopped green onion.
- Makes 6 servings. Good served with corn muffins or corn chips and lettuce wedges with a creamy dressing.
