German Style Salad(Preparation Time: 1 Hour. Makes 4 Servings.)
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 2 tsp. mustard
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 6 frankfurters or 4 knockwurst or 1/2 lb. ring bologna, cut diagonally in 1/2-inch pieces
- 4 medium size potatoes, cooked, peeled, halved lengthwise and cut in 1/8-inch slices
- 1/4 c. minced parsley
- Cook bacon in large skillet until brown.
- Add onions and flour; cook until bubbly.
- Add next 6 ingredients; bring to boil. Cook 3 minutes over medium heat.
- Stir in potatoes and parsley gently, coating potatoes with sauce.
- Bring to boil; remove from heat and serve immediately.
