Chocolate Chocolate Chunks
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/3 c. baking cocoa
- 2 Tbsp. light cream
- 2 c. (one 12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chunks
- 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350u0b0.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In another large bowl, with an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugars; add the vanilla and mix well.
- Add the cocoa and beat until well blended. Add the cream and, on low speed, gradually add the flour mixture; beat until mixed.
- Stir in the chocolate chunks and nuts, if using.
