Trudi'S Green Pepper Steak
- 2 lb. round steak
- 2 green peppers
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup
- 1/2 onion (optional)
- few dashes salt (optional)
- few dashes pepper
- oil (for browning meat)
- flour
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
- Cut round steak into serving sizes.
- Roll meat in flour and brown in hot skillet with cooking oil in it.
- Transfer meat into crock-pot or roaster.
- If using a crock-pot, put meat and onion on bottom.
- Cut green peppers into strips and cover meat with it. Pour 1 can tomato soup, diluted with 3/4 can water, over peppers. Put any optional choices in crock-pot.
- Put on low setting for about 5 to 6 hours.
- Test for doneness.
- The meat can be roasted in an oven for about 1 hour at 350u0b0.
- Test to see if it is done. Serve with rice or noodles.
- Increase cooking time if more meat is used.
