Mark’S Chocolate Fudge Cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 1/3 cup baking cocoa
- 1/3 cup milk
- 3-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda and cinnamon; set aside. In a small saucepan, bring water, butter, shortening and cocoa to a boil. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
