Barbecued Beef Or Pork

  1. In a Dutch oven, place meat, onion and celery; cover with water.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until tender. Remove meat.
  3. Strain and save the liquid. Trim the meat of fat and shred the meat.
  4. Return to the pot and add 2 cups liquid.
  5. Mix all seasonings and add to meat mixture. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  6. If too thick, add additional liquid.
  7. Serve on hamburger rolls. Freezes well. Save some liquid for thinning.
