Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Nestle butterscotch morsels
- 1/2 c. crunchy style peanut butter
- 4 c. oven-toasted rice cereal
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. water
- In large saucepan, combine butterscotch chips and peanut butter; heat until melted and smooth.
- Add rice cereal; stir until well coated.
- Press half of mixture into a buttered 8-inch square baking pan.
- Chill in refrigerator while preparing fudge.
- Set remaining cereal aside.
- Combine over hot (not boiling) water, chocolate chips, sugar, butter and water.
- Stir until melted and smooth.
- Spread over refrigerated cereal mixture.
- Spread remaining cereal over top of chocolate.
- Press gently. Refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour).
