Broiled Steak Fajitas

  1. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup oil, vinegar, oregano, sugar, chili powder, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Pour 1/2 cup marinade into a shallow dish. Add the beef and turn to coat. Cover; refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.
  2. Drain steak and discard marinade. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135u0b0; medium, 140u0b0; medium-well, 145u0b0), basting occasionally with reserved marinade. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onions and peppers in oil until tender. Serve on tortillas with beef and toppings.
