Dill Bread

  1. Heat onion, water, cottage cheese and butter to 120u0b0.
  2. In large bowl, combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar, dill, baking soda, salt, wheat germ, egg and warmed mixture.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Add 1 3/4 cup flour and knead for 3 minutes.
  5. If dough is sticky, add more flour.
  6. Put dough into greased bowl.
  7. Grease top.
  8. Cover and let rise in warm place until double.
  9. Punch down and shape into loaf. Put into greased 9 1/4 x 5 1/4-inch loaf pan.
  10. Cover and let rise in warm place.
  11. Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 30 minutes.
  12. Remove from pan.
  13. Cool on rack.
  14. Brush with melted butter.
  15. Best served warm.
