Grandchildren'S Favorite Casserole(My Grandchildren, Especially Dylan, Love This Dish!)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 onion, grated
- 1/2 jar ripe olives (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 3 c. grated Colby cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 ears of corn, still in shucks
- 6 large carrots, scrubbed, not peeled
- 6 medium onions
- 6 turnips, peeled (optional)
- 6 unpeeled potatoes, scrubbed
- 1 large head red cabbage, cut in wedges
- 12 Polish sausages
- Find a large roaster that will fit on your grill with the grill lid closed.
- Lay a clean gunny sack in the bottom of roaster.
- Peel back corn, leaving shucks still on, but removing the corn silks, then pull shucks back in place.
- Layer corn in the bottom of roaster pan on top of gunny sack.
