Linda'S Lasagna
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. drippings (optional)
- 1 large onion
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomatoes
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 (4 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- Brown beef in drippings; drain.
- Add onions and garlic; cook until tender.
- Add tomatoes, paste, salt, pepper, basil, oregano and bay leaf.
- Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove bay leaf. Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender; drain.
- Arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Pour half of meat sauce over noodles. Cover with Mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
