Golden Raisin Cookies

  1. In a saucepan, combine raisins and water.
  2. Cook over medium heat until water is absorbed.
  3. Cool.
  4. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Cream butter; add sugar.
  7. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  8. Add vanilla and orange extracts.
  9. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  10. Stir in walnuts and raisins.
  11. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a pie plate.
  12. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into cinnamon-sugar and coat well. Place sugar coated balls on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  13. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
