Brown Sugar Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 325u0b0. Grease shortbread mold. If mold is very complex, a spray on vegetable oil is easier. Beat the butter and sugar together until well mixed and fluffy. Work in flour, cornstarch and salt with fork until mixture holds together and is smooth. Spread mixture in the mold and press firmly. Bake about 45 minutes until golden brown and still just slightly springy in the middle. Turn shortcake out onto a wire rack to cool.
