Chili
- 1 lb. dry red kidney beans
- 3 lb. ground beef
- 3 qt. tomatoes
- 3 medium onions, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, chopped
- 3 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3/4 c. chili powder
- 3 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cumin
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- Wash kidney beans.
- Place tomatoes with juice, beans, spices, and bouillon cubes in a large pot.
- Bring to a boil.
- Brown ground beef and sausage.
- Drain.
- Add onions, bell pepper, and meat to the pot.
- Maintain the boil until the chili is at the desired thickness. The beans will soften when the chili is done.
