King Crab Au Gratin
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c light cream (H & H)
- 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp onions, grated
- 3 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen king crab, thawed
- 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
- Melt butter; stir in flour.
- Gradually stir in milk, cream, broth.
- Cook stirring constantly over low flame until sauce is smooth and thick.
- Stir in cheese, salt, paprika, mushrooms, and onion.
- Stir until cheese is melted.
- Fold in chunks of crab. Pour into greased 2 quart casserole; top with bread crumbs.
- Place in 400u0b0 oven and bake for 10 -12 minutes or till top brown. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
